Innovative meeting spaces across multiple floors of the iconic Birmingham Library and Reparatory Theatre.

The need:
Across two distinct buildings and 9 floors, Unique Venues Birmingham needed a way for clients to call the right departments for service without resorting to telephone systems. The REP theatres brutalist concrete construction also makes radio reception problematic, especially in busy basement areas.

The solution:
Dinggly’s Calling Tablets are provided to meeting organisers (a log is kept). For service they simple touch the relevant department on the tablet and are prompted to add an explanatory message, should they wish. This can save the need for staff to attended and then revisit to complete the job. Particularly important where a 10 minute walk across the buildings may be necessary! Messages are received on Smartwatch pagers, with staff swiping to accept calls, notifying others that everything is in hand.
