Dinggly’s call buttons are a little different – they work via your WiFi network and are within range wherever they can connect. Some buttons connect directly to WiFi, others via a device called a Gateway. An advantage of the latter is the buttons can be placed beyond the range of WiFi.

Another big advantage of being a cloud based system is calls are received via the internet over connected WiFi or cellular data. So you can receive calls virtually anywhere.

Room Status Communicator

The Status Display Panel, typically positioned directly outside a room, consists of:
  • a DND (do not disturb) light indicator
  • a Housekeeping request light indicator
  • a fob reader which allows housekeeping staff to flag the room as either Being Cleaned, Ready or OOO (Out of Order)

The in-room device is capable of the following:

  • set the DND (do not disturb) light on the outside panel
  • set the Housekeeping request light on the outside panel
  • request removal of the Tray/trolley from room service
  • record of voice message which is transmitted to Guest Services
There are two options for the in-room device:
  • either a Dinggly in Room Call Button
  • 0r a 3rd party Guest Information Tablet which is integrated with the Dinggly System. Dinggly provides a free API for controlling the outside panel and sending voice messages to Guest services and Tray removal requests to Kitchen staff.

How are calls received?

To your phone or tablet, as an action list via the Dinggly App.

To a Dinggly Wrist Pager, as an action list.

As an interactive call status display, with pop-up notifications, on any device running Google Chrome browser.

To a Dinggly-supported smartplug, allowing buttons to command devices including lights and sirens.

Any combination of receiving devices can used within any Dinggly system
